How to Apericena: A Wine and Charcuterie Board Class

  • DiMinico's 1820 Turnpike Street North Andover, MA, 01845 United States (map)

The Italians have a lovely word: apericena. It translates to “before dinner,” and describes the nightly ritual of enjoying food and wine between 5 and 8pm, before the big meal. This is the ultimate form of an aperitivo hour. With summer bringing longer days, and warm weather bringing friends and family together, we can’t think of a better time to master the art of apericena. Join sommelier, Brittany Galbraith, to learn how to create this pre-dinner ritual, by exploring our go-to wine and cheese/charcuterie pairings from our shop.

In this one-hour class you will:

  • Learn how to curate an apericena experience at home

  • Taste 5 different wines, each paired with a bite

  • Dive into the basics of pairing food and wine together

  • Discover regional culinary traditions from France and Italy

  • $50/per person. Reserve a spot by emailing melissa@diminicos.com
